When the evening dawns

When the evening shrouds the light
The rays of the moon glitters the night
When the birds flock back in a far off height
I get reminded of a distant time

The inquiring mind comes to term with life
The exhausted soul engulfed in some mysterious strife
Nostalgia pricks me, with the likes of a knife
My eyes drain out, with tears rife

It happens often, when the evening shrouds the light
That I get reminded of a distant time

One fine noon,a gush of wind blows
The heaven opens its gate, and torrential rain flows
The odour of the soil catch me very close
And in the boisterous sky, radiant lightning glows

And While I gaze at the  thunder in the sky
To a distant land does my mind fly.

The autumn mornings arrive, with its foggy haze
The sweet fragrance of roses, strewn in the nature's raze
Flying my mind back to  those juvenile days
The walk in the eveninigs in the street lamp rays

My emotions dismay me now  ,like the lost fragrance of the rose
The fog becoming tears, through my eye it flows.

It happens often, when the evening shrouds the light
That I get reminded of a distant time
