The Great desi tamasha

1) Telly - entertainment are on a all time high. One just has to zap through the various hindi channels, who incidentally seems to have taken a " Geeta pe haath rakh ke kasam " to ensure that the indian political class gets portrayed in the light which they inheritently deserve - as a source of " all bakwas and no sense " entertainment.Aaj Tak is the undisputed champion in the race though, with shows ranging from interview with Master Dinanath who used to teach Vasundhara Raje "English" in standard 4 to how Advani once fell off from his cycle to land in a heap of cowdung when he was 14.Last time I had seen the channel, it was a show named " ye kaisi dosti, ye kaisa pyar", with visuals of Amar Singh and Manmohan Singh with the song " dost dost na rahaa" playing in the background. Now you know how to save on your hard earned money on weekend movies - who needs those " gheesa peeta pyar mohabbat " when you can have export quality entertainment for free.Recession ka time hain bhai, money saved in money earned afterall.
